Hope: NEW Original Poem & My thoughts♡

Hope, is something that I constantly have on a regular basis, to keep me moving forward in all my desired dreams/plights. My dreams are very important to me, and was the inspiration to my new original poem I’ll be sharing. It’s nice to know that you have hope in being able to make things happen for yourself (I do this everyday, in anyway that I can).
If you can relate to my poem, that’s great, and I hope you enjoy it! ~

Hope: Original Poem by Lizzy
Hope, its something I hold onto
this hope, is what keeps me going forward.
I desperately: hold onto it so that I can stay
striving for all the things that I want.

With passion, comes that sense of hope
waiting around the corner: it leaves me thinking
even if just for a second whether my dreams will happen.

I still believe that hope will sometimes see me through
and pull me out from the usual encounters of boredom and blues.

However, I sometimes slowly lose hope
as I continue with my days, and stride
I have to fight back emotions, no matter how hard I try.

The day:  gets even longer and frustrating
then in response: I become agitated.

Hope, I think to myself see me through
let me know that I’ll get there soon.

Keep going: is what I need to do and knowing one day
surely desperately enough
with hope, I can get there soon.

New Update: Ed Sheeran Concert & Writing♥

I went to a concert, at Wembley Stadium, to see Ed Sheeran on Saturday and boy was it a great day! 🙂
I’ve always wanted to go to a concert: to see so many singers/musicians perform (preferably ones that I really like). It was a great experience to actually be there at the stadium, see so many people in the crowd too like over a thousand, as with events such as this I would be watching from home on T.V.

I enjoyed the food I had: which was chips and a sausage with salt as there was no barbeque (only sauce I like). The journey there was quite long, around 2 hours, but I was excited nonetheless to see Ed Sheeran! 🙂 Of course.

There were some songs, I wasn’t familiar with, but the ones I knew were the ones I sang along to. Pictures were taken, and I was so thrilled to be there!♥

He did sing ”Lego House” , ”Small Bump”, ”The A- Team” , ”Thinking out Loud.”

”Small Bump” was really great to sing along to, as I haven’t heard the song in such a long time. And it’s beautiful, truly. x
He also had so much energy, on stage, and constantly had to keep alternating between different guitars.

About Writing♥~
I’ve also still been writing, and I write down ideas I have for other stories of mine in my ideas book. This helps to refresh my memory of what it was that I wanted in particular for that story – and the direction I want it to go in.
My book/story ”The List”   is one of the books I’m currently writing, and I’m on Chapter 6 with this and it’s about two friends Jessica and Hannah who stumble across a list on a lamppost one day only to find that the names on the list, will surely die. They find a girl called Annabelle Harper on the list and find out that she’s died, and they begin investigating and try to prevent themselves being on it.

”The Dark Side”  I’m nearly finished with, currently on chapter 22, and chapters one to 21 are on my Wattpad, feel free to read it 🙂

I take breaks from time to time, to further gain ideas and inspiration for my books, my poems and even my plays. 🙂 Music is a helpful factor in this case too.

Also, getting involved in writing competitions, and trying to create opportunities for myself e.g. writing workshops, writing festivals etc.

I will keep you further updated, on my writing especially c:

Thanks for reading,

West Side Story 1961(Film Review)♡

West Side Story is a 1961 musical film, which is an adaptation of the 1957 Broadway musical of the same name, which was inspired by William Shakespeare’s play ”Romeo & Juliet.”
The lyrics were by Stephen Soundheim.
The film was good, as I watched it yesterday for the first time. And revolves around two gangs: ”The Jets”  and a Puerto- Rican gang ”The Sharks”.  The leader of the gang for ”The Jets” is Riff. Whereas, the leader for ”The Sharks” is Bernardo, they get into a fight which is interrupted and stopped by officer Krupke.
They either have to pay if they don’t stop, which they reluctantly both agree too. However, the Jets decide to challenge the Sharks to a rumble at an upcoming dance.
Riff decides to persuade his best friend Tony, who was the co-founder of the gang, but ultimately left to fight, however Tony’s uninterested and tells Riff that he senses something good will come.

Bernardo (leader of the Sharks) has a younger sister called Maria. Who’s excited about the dance, and expresses her joy to Anita(Bernardo’s girlfriend).

At the dance, the gangs and the girls refuse to intermingle, and somehow Tony arrives and Maria meet whilst dancing still occurs and begins to feel like a fantasy world. They immediately fall in love, but are ordered to stay away from one another by Maria’s older brother (Bernardo).

You should find out the rest of what happens, when watching the movie.

I love musicals, and this was one of the musicals I wanted to watch:)

Rating 8/10.

Thank you,
Lizzy 🙂
